Revolutions activity quote responces

"Revolutionary moments attract the best and worst elements in a given society." -George Bernard Shaw

I do indeed agree with this quote. Many revolutions in history have lead to the best and worst elements of society. A good example of this is the French Revolution. It brought out the best in France's society, because once it was all over they were able to fall back into place and get things back to normal. From the revolution they knew how to avoid trouble from happening again. The French Revolution did bring out the worst of France's people too. It led to violence, murder, death, and many horrible things for France's society.

"Every revolution was a first thought in one mans mind" -Ralph Waldo Emerson

I do agree with this quote also. I think revolutions that have occured have once been a thought or idea of someones, but they didn't want to do anything about it, couldn't do anything about it, or were too afraid.

"Every generation does need a new revolution" -Thomas Jefferson

This quote I don't necessarly agree with, but part of me does. Its a little vague because it could mean any type of revolution. It depends what kind though.
